Hey everyone!

I don't have a lot of photo's today. I was actually scared taking the 2 I have of the school. With the way things are over here I am so scared they lock me up or something, because some people might find it weird that I'm taking photo's of a school.

But the school and staff seem really nice. The whole school is under one roof and we saw the cafeteria and they have a really nice library. We also met Zander's teacher and she seems great. When he walked into the classroom all the kids jumped up and tried to swarm him, the teacher had to call them off, she was afraid they would over well him.

He said he had loads of fun today and even won an Art Reward and already made friends. It looks like he had a lot of fun. Tomorrow morning we are walking to school, it's only about a 15 minute walk, we live to close to school to qualify for the bus so we will walk to and from school everyday. Zander doesn't seem to mind, he can't wait to do the trip on his own. I'm still not comfortable with that but we'll get there someday.

They are so organized, the kids get a ticket everyday that describes how they go home - like care rider, walker, etc . and they can't leave the school without handing in their tickets, so if you are looking for your child you just tell them his mode of transportation and they go through the tickets so see if the child left and if he left the way he was supposed to and then retrace the child's step from there. And then if it looks like the weather is bad they call the parents and don't allow the walkers to walk home, they have to be picked up on those days by car. I'm sure a lot of these rules are to cover themselves and it makes me fell better to know that he is in good hands and they will do everything in their power to keep him safe.

I really feel good about the school and I think the adjustment will be easy enough. Kiaan is just put out that he can't go to school as well, although when he found out he'll be able to watch TV while Zander is in school he felt better about it, and of course the fact that he'll get to go to kindergarten at the same school next school year.

There is still a lot of things we have to learn and get used to, like kids younger than Zander taking their bikes to school without adult supervision, don't know how long it will take me to allow that, much to Zander's disappointment.

Tomorrow is Henry's first official work day even though he has been in a few times to help out, so I hope it goes great and that he has a lot of fun. I met a few of his co - workers and they are all very friendly and helpful.

I'll try to get some more photo's tomorrow, if its safe. Sorry for any mistakes, spelling and if some of the stuff doesn't make sense but I'm really tired tonight and don't feel like proof reading, I'm heading to bed. Hope you all have a good night and sleep well.

Kiaan with Zander on his first day of school. Doesn't it look funny to not have him in uniform?

They both dressed themselves this morning, they decided they are old enough to choose their own clothes. As long as it doesn't look to bad I'm good with that.

We finally have TV and internet. That was sorted out this morning. Now I can update again.

I will start taking photo's of the house again tomorrow with the furniture, it's just been so hectic.driving around, Henry busy with work stuff and on the phone a lot, kids under your feet but we are starting to get there. It will take a while to get the house how we want it but at least we can live.

Zander is starting school tomorrow, so we are all excited about that. Another new experience!

In the meantime here is some photo's we took last week.

This was taken in Chuck E Cheese's. It is a kids pizza place. They love it and keep begging to go back.

This is so awesome. You get your glass, choose your drink and then you refill as much as you want

Zander

It works like Magic Company, You get tokens, win ticket and the cash out and choose you toys. The kids love this place, we actually had to take them back.
So you go, order your food and that includes some tokens, get your drinks and let the kids play. You can actually sit there for hours and just refill your drink and the kids have loads of fun. Then when he tokens are finished you either buy more or cash in. It's great and Henry enjoys it as well. He likes to play some of the games too. A lot of the adults do.

That's all I can think of at the moment. Will update again tomorrow at some point.

Love and miss you all a lot.

Sorry for only updating now, have had a busy few days. As I am updating this I am trying to keep awake. I am doing this update in English for my sister in law, who doesn't understand Afrikaans (she is American). Maybe all my posts will be in English from now on, I'll have to see.

It seems that all the important stuff for the house has been sorted and the furniture will be delivered tomorrow morning. If it doesn't happen, we will be sleeping on the floor tomorrow night as we are booking out of the hotel tomorrow morning.

I wish everyone can see the area we will be living in, it is great. Kids playing and riding bike in the streets, everyone is always so friendly. It's really great and I can't wait to move in and get to know the neighbors and the area.

I took some photo's (maybe a lot) of the house which I will be putting in this post. It looks like I figured out how to do that, so we'll see if it works or not.

I don't know when next I'll be able to update the blog. We don't have internet at the house yet and I'm not sure when that will be sorted, but as soon as it is I will let you know and the updates will start again.

Sorry if this update is a bit short, we are really tired and have another long day ahead of us tomorrow. We want to sort out Zander's school tomorrow before the furniture is delivered, so it is going to be another early start for us. I hope you enjoy this update and the photo's and will try to update again as soon as possible.

Hope all is well with everyone, we miss you all and love you lots.
